Vegetable Oil Disposal

recycle_oil_smallOur concern is with used cooking oils, not motor oils or other lubricants. During use, cooking oils degrade and become contaminated with residue from foods, which are fried in it and fats from meats and fish mainly. The re-use of oils so degraded is a health hazard and its random disposal illegal. Contaminated oils are an environmental nightmare if simply poured down a drain. Such oils do not decompose readily, nor mix with other fluids in our environment. Fatty deposits of this kind attract vermin and bacteria.

At TERC, we operate a filtering system, which separates animal fats and other unwanted solids from used vegetable oils. Such “recovered” oils are sold.  TERC has the necessary license to filter used oils and offer it for sale.

Depending on customer requirement, we can offer different grades of purity and fineness.  Prices vary accordingly (see here).  Oil is sold as seen and no recommendation is offered or implied as to appropriate use.

We collect used oils by prior arrangement (free within a 10 mile radius).  What we offer is environmentally safe treatment of used oils.  Re-sale of 'recovered' oils helps to create employment and work placements for local people needing jobs and purposeful occupation.

Note:
We do not produce BioDiesel
